The growing need of slowing down coastal erosion, has lead to research of new economical and really effective solutions.

Due to USA and Central and Northern European coastal countries pioneering works, geosynthetic application has greatly evolved over the past decades, either for its low environmental impacts or for its easy and fast installation, in alternative to the more expensive traditional solutions.

In cooperation with several academic entities and the support of manufacturers, BBF has been proposing a wide range of solutions, built from geosynthetic material, for coastal protection.
